ADHD Conference Information

CODE OF CONDUCT: We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees at the Annual International Conference on ADHD. We expect all participants, including attendees, speakers, organizers, exhibitors, and sponsors, to abide by the following code of conduct:

Be kind. Any personal attacks, derogatory language, harassment, or any form of disruptive behavior that may impede the conference's positive and collaborative environment will be investigated and addressed.

Remember, the Annual International Conference on ADHD aims to foster an environment of learning, collaboration, and mutual respect. By adhering to this code of conduct, we can collectively create a safe and welcoming space for all attendees.

ADHD CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: Access to all conference activities as outlined in the program.

ACCESSIBILITY & SPECIAL ASSISTANCE: We are committed to providing access to all attendees and assisting with any special needs. Please note any needs during registration in the appropriate field.

ALCOHOL POLICY: The official policy of ACO, ADDA, and CHADD regarding the minimum age for alcohol consumption is the age applicable to the jurisdiction of the event venue. In Baltimore, the minimum age for beer, wine, and alcohol consumption is 21. ACO, ADDA, and CHADD encourage you to act responsibly and not drink and drive.

ATTIRE: Business/smart casual. Meeting room temperatures and personal comfort ranges vary widely. Meeting rooms may seem cold, and you may want to dress in layers or bring a sweater or a jacket. We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes.

CHADD BOOKSTORE: Our publications and selected books from other publishers are for sale inside the Discovery Hall.

BOOK SIGNINGS: Meet your favorite authors of books on ADHD. A schedule of book signings will be posted in the conference app. Book signings will be held in back of the Discovery Hall, and the space will be clearly marked.

CONFERENCE APP: Access conference sessions, updates, speaker presentations, exhibitors, and sponsors from the convenience of your smartphone or tablet using the new conference app.

CONFERENCE HANDOUTS: Since the 2023 Annual International Conference on ADHD is a green event, session handouts are not provided on-site. Attendees may access all handouts in the mobile app.

COURTESIES: While attending conference sessions and keynote addresses, please silence cell phones and anything else that could disrupt speakers and fellow attendees.

FIRST AID AND EMERGENCIES: To request medical attention, please go to the hotel main desk or dial 0 from any house phone.

CONFERENCE SESSIONS: All sessions are first come, first served. Seating begins 15 minutes prior to session start time. For safety, attendees are not permitted to sit or stand in the back of a session room and no chairs may be added.

LOST AND FOUND: The lost and found area is located at the Conference Information Desk, where you can bring found items or report lost items. Please note that ACO, ADDA, CHADD and the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor are not responsible for any lost items.

PRIVATE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS POLICY: Social functions for which attendance is restricted to verbal or written invitations are not permitted during any official 2023 Annual International Conference on ADHD activity. Hospitality suites and hosted events must be approved in advance by the conference team (conferences@chadd.org.) The Conference reserves the right to postpone or delay any function conflicting with an official 2023 Annual International Conference on ADHD activity. Anyone hosting such events must receive prior approval and register their function(s) at the exhibitor counter in the registration area.

SAFETY IN BALTIMORE: Baltimore is a major city, and as such, you should exercise caution just as you would in any metropolitan area. Pay close attention to the traffic signals and use the crosswalks at designated intersections. It’s best to not carry large sums of money or allow others to see your money or other valuables. Don’t wear your conference name badge outside the hotel. After dark, do not walk alone. Check with the hotel concierge before visiting an unfamiliar neighborhood.

SMOKING POLICY: Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor is a smoke-free facility. For designated outdoor smoking areas, please inquire at the concierge desk.

MEDIA: The photographs, audio recordings, and video footage captured during the Conference may be used in various promotional materials, including but not limited to brochures, websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and other Conference-related materials. These materials may be used by the Conference organizers or authorized partners for the purposes of promoting future Conferences or similar events.

PHOTOGRAPHY: By attending ADHD2023, hereinafter referred to as the "Conference," you, the attendee, acknowledge and agree to the following photography disclaimer: Consent to Photography: During the Conference, photographs, audio, and video recordings may be taken by the organizers, authorized partners, or media representatives. By attending the Conference, you grant permission to the Conference organizers and its associates to capture and use your likeness, image, voice, and presentations in any and all media formats, for promotional, educational, and archival purposes related to the Conference.
